Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

We ask for as little as we can and we tell you why we are asking. If anything below is unclear, write to info@moriigroup.com and a person will answer you.

01

Who we are

Morii Group AG, a company incorporated in Switzerland, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our operating companies, including Morii Yachting, Morii Red Sea and Morii Expeditions, process data on the same terms.

You can reach us at info@moriigroup.com for anything concerning your data, including the requests described under Your rights below.

02

What we collect

We only ask for what we need, and we tell you why at the moment we ask.

Contact details
Your name, email address, telephone number and, for a dealer or broker, the company you work for.
What you are looking for
What you told us you are interested in, the yacht and share size you modelled in the simulation, and anything you wrote to us.
Our conversation
The messages you send us through the program and our replies.
Your agreements
For captains and dealers, the agreement you signed digitally, with the name you typed and the moment you signed it.
Where you came from
Whether somebody introduced you and who that was, so that the introduction can be credited to them.
Technical data
Your browser stores a small amount of information so the program knows you are signed in. Our host records standard server logs.
03

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

To answer you
When you send an enquiry or a message we use your details to reply. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
To run the program
To give you access to the portal, to keep your simulations and your documents, and to follow up on an introduction. Contract, or our legitimate interest in running the program properly.
To pay a referral fee
To establish who introduced whom, and to settle what is owed. Contract and legal obligation.
News and offers
Only if you ticked the box. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and every mailing carries an unsubscribe link.
To meet our obligations
Accounting, tax and anti-money-laundering rules oblige us to keep certain records.
04

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anybody else to market to you. We do use a small number of processors who handle data on our instructions:

Netlify
Hosts the website and receives the forms you submit.
Supabase
Stores the program data. The database is hosted inside the European Union, in Frankfurt.
HubSpot
Our customer system, where an enquiry becomes a contact record.
Email and messaging
Our email provider, and WhatsApp if you choose to write to us there. What you send over WhatsApp is also governed by their own terms.
Our own people
Captains and dealers see the introductions they registered themselves. They never see anybody else in the program.
05

Where it is stored

The program database sits in the European Union. Some of our processors are established in the United States; where that is the case, transfers are covered by the European Commission standard contractual clauses and the corresponding Swiss addendum, together with the technical measures those clauses require.

06

How long we keep it

An enquiry that goes nowhere
Two years after our last contact, then deleted.
A registration in the program
For as long as your account exists, and two years after you last used it.
A signed agreement and the records behind a fee
Ten years, because Swiss accounting law requires it.
Marketing consent
Until you withdraw it, and a record of the withdrawal afterwards so we do not write to you again by mistake.
07

Your rights

Under Swiss data protection law and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you can ask us to:

See what we hold
A copy of your data, in a readable form.
Correct it
Anything wrong or out of date.
Delete it
Unless we are obliged to keep it, in which case we tell you why.
Object or restrict
To processing based on our legitimate interest, and to marketing at any time without giving a reason.
Take it with you
Your data in a portable format, where that right applies.
Complain
To the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or to the supervisory authority where you live.
08

Cookies and measurement

The website does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other sites. The program stores a small amount of information in your own browser so that it knows you are signed in and remembers who introduced you. You can clear that at any time through your browser settings, and by signing out.

09

Children

The program is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data about anybody under sixteen.

10

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date below. If a change matters to you, we tell you.
